This notice explains what personal data PartyPadi collects, why, and the choices you have. PartyPadi is the data controller for the app, partypadi.com and app.partypadi.com. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
01What we collect
- Account details: your email address or phone number, name, username, photo, campus and the five interests you pick.
- Activity: events you view, save or attend, tickets you buy, Circles, polls, messages, comments, photos, matches you follow and meetups you join.
- Payment details: Paystack processes your card or bank details. We receive the payment reference, amount and status, not your full card number.
- Device data: app version, device type, push notification token and basic logs we need to keep the service secure and working.
- Organizer details: business name, contact details and bank account for payouts.
02Why we use it
- To run your account and send you login codes (performing our contract with you).
- To issue tickets and QR codes, process payments, refunds and payouts (contract).
- To show events and people that match your campus and interests, and to let friends see plans you choose to share (legitimate interests, within your privacy settings).
- To keep PartyPadi safe: preventing fraud, handling reports and enforcing our terms (legitimate interests and legal obligations).
- To send notifications and emails you can switch off in Settings (consent, where required).
03Who can see what
- Your profile name, photo and username are visible to other users. Your privacy settings control who can see the events you are going to, and whether people can find you.
- Members of a Circle see what you post in it. Public comments on matches, events and meetups are visible to everyone.
- Organizers see the name and ticket details of people who buy tickets or register for their events, so they can admit you at the gate.
04Who we share it with
- Service providers who work for us under contract: Supabase (database and hosting), Paystack (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (website hosting), Apple and Google (sign-in and push notifications).
- Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards allowed under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
- We do not sell your personal data.
05How long we keep it
- We keep your account data while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your profile and content within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons (for example payment records, kept for up to 6 years).
06Your rights
- You can access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict some uses, withdraw consent, and ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Most of this you can do in the app under Profile and Settings. For anything else, email support@partypadi.com and we will respond within 30 days.
- If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
07Security
- We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security in our database. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login codes private.
08Children
- PartyPadi is not for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
09Changes and contact
- We will tell you in the app about important changes to this notice.
